The Schützenlisl is the symbol of Bavarian joie de vivre, cordiality and tradition.

Coletta Möritz (Schützenlisl) was an institution in Munich, not only because a marquee was named after her, she was a well-known restaurateur and later even a popular landlady at the Munich Oktoberfest. Her fame and popularity was often compared to that of the Münchner Kindl.

And so she also became a symbol for the state capital of Munich.

The festival hosts Lorenz and Christine Stiftl revived the Schützenlisl for the first time in 2022 at the Oidn Wiesn after more than 139 years.

The passionate hosts Michael Bietsch, Florian Fendt and Manfred Kneifel will continue the tradition of the Schützenlisl at the Oidn Wiesn.

What the three men have in common is their shared love of Oktoberfest – a passion that began for all of them at a young age. They fondly remember their first lederhosen, their first ride on the Olympia Bahn and, of course, their first beer.
